※ This English version is a English translation for the Privacy Policy in Japan.
The Toyo Ink Group led by Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Group") obtains and uses personal information for the purpose of facilitating the Group's work in accordance with "II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information."
"Personal information" herein means the personal information defined in Paragraph 1, Article 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003) and includes an individual's name, address, phone number, e-mail address and the information specified in "II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information." The Group recognizes that the proper protection of individuals' personal information is a critical responsibility, and strives to protect such personal information in compliance with the following privacy policy (hereinafter "the Policy").
- The Group respects individuals' personalities and complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and rules applicable to the handling of personal information.
- The Group clarifies the regulations and internal systems relating to the protection of personal information and makes them thoroughly known to all individuals engaged in the Group's work so that the effectiveness of the regulations and the internal system will be ensured. The Group requires its outsourcing service provider to also handle personal information properly and supervises them accordingly.
- When obtaining personal information, the Group clearly specifies and notifies or discloses the purpose of use of the information and handles personal information in accordance with the purpose.
- The Group takes measures necessary to properly manage personal information for the purpose of preventing the leakage, loss, falsification and other problems concerning the personal information.
- Requests from individuals for disclosure, correction, deletion and/or suspension of use of their personal information that the Group possesses are accepted at the Group's specified point of contact. The Group will sincerely address such requests.

Ⅱ. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information
In executing its business operations, the Group may request its individuals to provide their personal information for the following purposes via an interview with the Group’s salesperson, events such as exhibitions, the Group’s website and other means. If the Group is to use personal information for any purpose other than those explained above, this will be communication in a written document, via an e-mail or via an announcement on the Group’s website.
ⅰ. Source of personal information
The Group may obtain personal information from the following sources for the purpose specified in "ii Purpose of use of personal information."
- Individuals (e.g. filling out questionnaires on the Group’s website or at exhibitions and other events, entering data into the form of the Group’s website, sending inquiry e-mails to the Group’s address at info@toyoinkgroup.com)
- Individuals’ viewing the Group’s website (for details, see “ii. Use of technologies for obtaining personal information online” and “iii. Use of Access Log” of “III. Protection and management of personal information”)
- Disclosed information (e.g. information disclosed on the Internet)
- Social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Weibo, WeChat, LinkedIn)
- Research documents provided by third parties
- The cloud service that the Group uses to share information within the Group
ⅱ. Purpose of use of personal information
- Provide individuals with information on topics such as products or services of the Group or its partners and the support provided from the Group.

Personal information used: name (including hiragana indicating the pronunciation of kanji), e-mail address, phone number, address, place of work, industry, department, title and job type informed by the individual - Answer questions from individuals.

Personal information used (including information treated as equivalent to personal information): e.g. Viewership of content on the Group’s website mentioned in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: iii. Use of Internet's technologies for automatically gathering personal information” and “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: iv. Use of Access Log”
ⅲ. Use of Internet's technologies for automatically gathering personal information
The Group’s website may be partly using CGI, JavaScript, cookies or suchlike (hereinafter “relevant technologies”) as written in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy. The relevant technologies make it possible to obtain information about, for example, an individual’s information terminal devices or software (hereinafter “terminal system”) or viewership of content on the Group’s website, without causing the individual to be aware of this.
These pieces of information may not always cause any specific individual to be identifiable. But the Group treats such information as equivalent to personal information. The Group may use the information obtained via relevant technologies for such purposes as analysis of individuals’ preferences for the Group’s services and more effective delivery of content on the Group's website. This information is treated as equivalent to individuals’ personal information and its use is limited to the purposes written in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy.
Some terminal systems may deactivate the function of relevant technologies by changing the browser setting of the website. To change the setting of the terminal system, see the manual for the terminal system or contact the terminal system's manufacturer. However, please note that the setting change may render some services on the Group's website unavailable.
ⅳ. Use of Access Log
As stated in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy, the Group makes a record of information about individuals who logged on to the Group’s website in the form of Access Log. Access Log contains data such as the domain name and IP address of the network server that the individuals who accessed the Group’s website are connected with, the names of content files accessed and the date and time of access.
Access Log does not always contain information that may identify a specific individual. However, the Group treats the Access Log as equivalent to personal information. Access Log is used to perform statistical analysis on how the Group’s website is used. Besides, it is treated as equivalent to individuals’ personal information and may only be used for the purposes written in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy.
ⅴ. Handling of personal information the Group already possesses
The personal information that the Group obtained before the enforcement of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (on or before March 31, 2005) and still possesses may be used within the scope of the purpose of use written in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy.
ⅵ. Whether or not the provision of personal information is a legal or contractual requirement
Provision of personal information is neither a legal nor a contractual requirement for concluding a contract unless a contract exists otherwise between an individual and the Group. An individual is not obliged to provide his/her personal information. Unless an individual provides his/her personal information, the Group may not be able to answer questions from the individual.

The Group takes necessary and reasonable information security control measures to protect personal information provided by individuals against loss, damage, illegal disclosure, falsification and illegal access. In this way, the Group handles personal information with the utmost care. In the event a problem occurs, the Group will take prompt action. The Group endeavors to keep the personal information provided by individuals accurate and up to date. Please communicate any change or correction to personal information provided to the contact specified by the Group, which is written in "IX. Point of contact" of the Policy.

Personal information obtained by the Group will not be shared, outsourced for handling, or disclosed or provided to a third party except in the following situations.
- Consent has been obtained from the relevant individual.
- The Group is disclosing or providing statistical data and other personal information without any connection with any specific individual.
- The Group is inquiring with a relevant organization about the procedures for, or status of, payment for a purchase, etc. from an individual to the Group.
- The Group discloses or provides such personal information to a subcontractor, agency or any other business partner that the Group properly supervises, to achieve the purposes of use written in "II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information."
- Multiple companies within the Group cooperatively use such personal information to achieve the purposes written in "II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information."
- A judiciary body, government agency, police, bar association, consumers affairs bureau or any other organization with authority equivalent to the above has taken proper, legally grounded procedures to require the Group to disclose or provide such personal information.
- Disclosing or providing such personal information is necessary for the national government, local public organizations or others to perform public administrative work and obtaining consent from the individual may pose an obstacle to the fulfillment of the administrative work.
- Disclosing or providing such personal information is necessary to protect the life, body, property, etc. of an individual or any other individual and obtaining consent from the individual is difficult.
- The Group is providing such personal information to collaborative users that have already been informed or disclosed to the individual.
ⅱ. Supervision of shared and outsourced personal information
Based on the above paragraphs, personal information may be shared and outsourced for handling, within the scope specified below. Based on the following, the Group properly supervises the shared use and outsourcing for handling. By means of a contract or similar device, we ensure the prevention of leakage of personal information.

Destination of relocation to a third-party country | To fulfill any of the purposes of use mentioned above, the Group may move an individual's personal information to any of the third-party countries or regions listed below.
The Republic of Korea, People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, India, United Arab Emirates, France, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Lithuania, Hungary, Turkey, Morocco, United States, Mexico and Brazil. In moving an individual’s personal information, the Group takes appropriate measures for protection (hereinafter “Equivalent Measures”) with the aim of ensuring the continued implementation of measures equivalent to those that the business operators handling personal information in Japan are expected to take. Such measures may include the conclusion of a contract with the destination of the personal information, among others. The Personal Information Protection Committee recognizes France, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Lithuania and Hungary as having personal information protection systems that are virtually equivalent to their Japanese counterpart. Ⅵ.Addressing requests for disclosure, etc.
Based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Group would take appropriate action to address a request from the relevant individual or his/her agent for disclosure or correction of, addition to, deletion from retained personal data (hereinafter “retained personal data” as defined in Paragraph 7, Article 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information), suspension of use of retained personal data or suspension of provision of retained personal data to third parties (hereinafter “disclosure, etc.”).
- (1) Contact for requesting disclosure, etc.
A request for disclosure, etc. shall be made with the procedure specified by the Group. Inquiries about a request should be directed to the office written in "IX. Point of contact" of the Policy. - (2) Identity verification
Anyone that requests disclosure, etc. must undergo identity verification by following a specified procedure.
If you assign an agent to request disclosure, etc., you must submit a letter of proxy. This also requires submission of a document to verify the identity of both you and your agent.
※ A statutory agent for an underage person or an adult ward may be deemed as having the authority of proxy by submitting a document that evidences his/her legal authority of proxy. - (3) Commission for disclosure
In response to a request for disclosure, the Group may charge the requester or his/her agent a commission for procedures and research (hereinafter "handling of request, etc."). When charging for commission for handling of request, etc., the Group will inform the requester or his/her agent in advance of an estimate of the amount of commission. - (4) Other
Other inquiries about requesting disclosure, etc. should be directed to the office specified in "IX. Point of contact" of the Policy.
Ⅶ.Period of retention of personal information
The Group retains individual s’ personal information for the period necessary for achieving the purposes of use mentioned in “II. Purpose, etc. of use of personal information: ii. Purpose of use of personal information” of the Policy. The duration of the retention period will be decided on the basis of, for example, the purposes of using the personal information and characteristics of the data.
Whenever a piece of personal information becomes unnecessary, the Group irreversibly anonymizes the personal information or destroys it (anonymized information may still be retained for continued use).
Ⅷ.Changing the Policy
The Group may revise the Policy whenever necessary in accordance with amendments to laws and changes in the social environment.
The Group will disclose the revision of the Policy via the Group's website and other media for public relations.
Ⅸ.Point of contact
Inquiries about the Policy, personal information or procedures should be directed to the following point of contact, which will connect you with a data administrator.
After you have completed all procedures necessary, the Group will verify your identification by referring to data of your registration at the Group, such as your driver’s license, passport, health insurance certificate and seal registration or any other written certificate; calling back your phone number registered at the Group; or checking your name, address, phone number, password, bank account number and/or credit card number.
If your agent has taken all of the procedures, the Group will verify that he/she is your real agent by referring to the relevant letter of proxy or the registration certificate for the seal affixed to the letter of proxy, making a phone call to you and/or using any other means effective.
